Sefina transfigures into Nathaniel Cho, and her events will deal +1 damage once per phase.
Save Ace in the hole + cheap shot + easy mark under bewitching to have even more chances of fiding transfiguration .
I put only 1 copy in and she has so much card draw she'll find it easily, but if you want more consistensy replace one of the cheap shots with another transfiguration.
Instead of boxing gloves, you find your fight events by using scrolls.
Unexpected side effect from playing untaboo'd: Nathaniel's ✮ effect is incredible to pick up Ace in the hole again after you used it (maybe consider playing with taboo to avoid that and also scroll of secrets will be better)
Memories of another life will solve any problem you could have while NaCho is fronting.

Mar 26, 2025You could actually play Call for Backup; after you transfigure, you have every class except survivor (and it triggers Nath's ability). I think I would also try to get Spectral Razor (2) to recur it. Ace in the Hole is great (especially with your mentioned combo), but I don't think it's necessary. What I would love it seeing Chuck Fergus (2) or even Chuck Fergus (5) for maximizing the damage output (with him, you can play your events in other phases). Otherwise I looooove this deck! |

Mar 26, 2025I am starting to feeling a bit spammy, but a friend notified me that you cannot use Chuck Fergus to play events outside of your turn (see his FAQ). To still make use of Nath's ability in other phases you could instead rely on cards like Hypnotic Gaze or, since we're at the Synergies already, use Close the Circle to take a play action outside of your turn ;) |

Hm, generally yes (and it's not a bad card), but the only reliable ways to trigger the oversuccess I see here are Bum's Rush, Cheap Shot, and Spectral Razor, which can all only be played during your turn in the first place. Maybe if you get enough skill value for treacheries via Crystallizer of Dreams or manage to snatch The Stars Are Right through Stargazing (Scroll of Secrets can help!), but that's still unreliable. |
