Just a dumb idea around Makeshift Trap. With Simple and Net you can ignore ennemies. Add Explosive device and Improvised timer and you have a Dynamite Blast at the end of the round.
We can also play 2 traps for 6 damages (and 8 resources less than dynamite).
So, who is going to make big explosions ? Our favorite orphan, of course. She can recur the trap with her amulet, and her allows her to easily play Improvised Shield (kaboom protection).
Also the deckbuilding allows her to pick some great cards :
- Leo De Luca : extra action to leave the explosion site (remember, ennemies can't move nor make aoo)
- Kicking the Hornet's Nest : free clues, free money, and more ennemies to explode
- Friends in Low Places : lets fetch our explosions. This card is just a better Backpack.
- "I'll take that!" to carry 2 Flashlight without using hand slots.
- I am really, really sad that "Let God sort them out..." doesn't work with Makeshift Trap :(
Rest of the deck is just a classic testless engine. With Exploit Weakness, you will be able to damage (and evade) Elite ennemies before finishing them with a trap.
No, i never played this deck. I don't have a level 0 version neither. Have a blast.
I don't think you need "I'll take that!" nor Hidden Pocket. You can attach Hidden Pocket only to Track Shoes and with that additional slot you can only hold cards that you play with "I'll take that!". And then only the 4 hand slot items are some that you have more in your deck, than you have slots for. And the Improvised Shield can't be played with "I'll take that. So in the end Hidden Pocket is only for your Keyrings. That are a lot of things that need to come together for very little gain.
I think you should have more assets to make "I'll take that!" worthwhile, and more expensive ones probably too. And Hidden Pocket should definitely not be in the deck anymore, as explained above.
