Hello Investigators!

I`d like to share our Decklists for our take on the Innsmouth Conspiracy as well as our progress during the campaign. Those campaign notes might include some minor spoilers.

Let`s have a look at the second Deck, Sister Mary.

During Deckbuilding I have to choose whether I want to play a classic Guardian Deck or a Mythic approach. After a long deliberate I`ve chosen the latter one due to consistent. I think it is better to focus on her 4 and try to increase that stat rather than her 3 I am also a huge fan of Arcane Initiate. With 12 Spells in the Deck you have a good chance to draw an additional card each turn.

Mary needs more Ressources than her fellow Pete. Therefore 5 Slots are designated for economy. Rite of Sanctification is an auto include in every Sister Mary Deck because she automatically fills the chaos bag with the requiered blessed tokens. Uncage the Soul is a very solid economy card for Mythics due to action efficency. Voice of Ra is in this built the worst economy card for sure because Mary reduces the odds of drawing the appropirate tokens. Nevertheless in the second Scenario it netted me 5 Ressources which is just awesome!

Playing as a Mythic you need a good plan for both fighting and finding clues. To get rid of nasty enemies I am playing Shrivelling, Spectral Razor (which will become Radiant Smite), together with Vicious Blow.

For finding clues I have decided to play the more reliable Sixth Sense over Rite of Seeking, Read the Signs and one of my favorite cards Drawn to the Flame

Side Note: Unfortunately I`ve drawn the most terrible weaknes card in the game Overzealous. I hope Pete can withhold burstling Mary

Now let`s moveover to the campaign. If you have any questions or remarks for our Decks let us now in the comment section

2021_04_09_The Pit of Despair

We really have to struggle in the first scenario and both got defeated with hardly no change for victory. So we both got a physical trauma. Fortunately we were able to recover some Memories for a total of 3XP which were spent as follows:

Due to the fact that I have suffered a physical trauma thanks to Overzealous I have decided to add more allies to protect Mary because 4 health are fast gone in Innsmouth. So beside the well known Level 2 Beat Cop I have chosen the Summoned Hound. Even with the possibility that it might become an Unbound Beast I really like the card because I can get one more action each round which is always welcome. I will try to assign the final damage on it before it will be able to escape ;-). To make space for the appreciate allies I have cut both blessed blades. Because I focus on and my spells this is by far the weakest card in the maindeck. It don`t provide reliable extra damage and the addition of a blessed token to the chaos bag is not good enough to keep it.

2021_04_16_The Vanishing of Elina Harper

Our result in "The searching for Elina Harper" was much better than our attempt to escape the drowned cave. Pete had some problems and lost some Clues rather than picking them up but after long investigations we knew who kidnapped Elina and there were only two hideouts left. Unfortunately we picked the wrong place but this couldn t stop us from winning this scenario. We ve cleared 3 VP Locations and thanks to Mary who killed the "Winged One" we`ve earned 4 XP.

As stated above the Spectral Razor were replaced by Radiant Smite. It cost only 1 Resource, can afflict more damage and is pretty good in combination with Vicious Blow. So I have decided to level up one Vicious Blow as well.

2021_04_23_In Too Deep

This time our couple had a smoother run through Innsmouth than in the previous Scenario. But we also tried to clear the scenario asap rather than dive too deep and getting lost. Nevertheless in the last round of the Scenario where Mary has already escaped Pete were very lucky to not being pulled back by the deep ones. Due to our fast escape we owned only 4XP which we weren`t able to spend yet.

2021_04_30_Devil Reef

The 4th Scenario of the Innsmouth Campaign was very thrilling. After a smooth beginning the tension has risen dramatically. In the middle of the Scenario we struggled against the creature that lurks in the deep. Just after we managed to get rid of it Mary has to face 3 Deep ones at once due to her Overzealous nature. Fortunately together with Pete they were able to escape and dig 2/3 of the artefacts. Therefore we got 6XP for this mission. Together with the 4XP from the previous scenario we were able to spent a bunch of 10 XP.

In my opinion Nephthys is a very strong card. Blessing recursion is very powerfull, especially with a teammember that relies on blessing token such as our Ashcan Pete built. The Willpower boost is also very appreciated. I have decided to cut one Arcane Initiate because I do not want to run too many allies. To find another card to remove for the second copy of Nephthys was really hard because I really like the deck as it is right now. I decided to remove the single Read the signs and I hope I won`t regret it.

For the remaining 2 XP I have upraded my holy rosary. With her high Willpower she is able to solve many tests from Treachery cards so why do not get a profit out of that, right?

How does Mary reduce the chance of triggering Voice of Ra?

Never mind Ra is "reveal" not "draw"

Hello Timlagor, thanks for your comment. As I‘ve plaid the campaign Voice of Ra has not an errata. So reavealing blessed tokens has not grant you ressources. Therefore it was not as effective with mary as with other investigators.

My mistake wasn't thinking the Blessing token triggered it but that you'd draw again for the Blessing.
