A mix of cheap assets (no more than one per slot) and widely applicable skills and cheap events.

Suggestions for changes welcome (for example, should I swap the Holy Rosary for a St. Hubert's Key? If I do, should I take some of the 3-sanity-or-less +4 skill cards? Am I right to take Peter Sylvestre over Stray Cat for my ally slot? Should I run Delve Too Deep at the start of the campaign to speed up XP gain?)

Planned upgrade path:
Arcane Studies -> Cornered
Charisma
e.g. Painkillers -> Miss Doyle
Then:A second Cornered? Stargazing? Peter Sylvestre? Rise to the Occasion? Eucatastrophe?

I’ve been playing around with various Patrice builds over the last week myself and I’m trying to find the right balance. I really like this list! The one thing I’ve noticed myself is that I haven’t liked having emergency cache. I don’t feel like there are enough resource dependent cards to justify a card that doesn’t have any icons and takes a card and an action to net 2 resources (1 resource can be gained via an action). I’ve been looking to replace it with either Forbidden Knowledge or Madame Labranche. Allies are tricky to because she has 3 good options available to her. I still don’t know what to do with her either, but I plan on starting a new campaign with her Friday night, and am excited to try out another build.

I did wonder about Forbidden Knowledge in place of Emergency Cache- it combos beautifully with Peter Sylvestre and it gives you one more resource and a will icon, but it's slower and not really usable without him in play or in turns you're putting other horror on him. But maybe I should rethink that.

After looking at it, yea.. you probably need another clue card for sure. I just realized you weren't playing Drawn to the Flame or Read the Signs, so you probably need a static cluever card. Mists of R'lyeh is good though because it lets you save your Shrivelling charges for things that matter. Hard decision. I think it depends on what investigator you're paired with/what role you're trying to fill on the team.
