Here is my William Yorick deck that uses cards from Path to Carcosa and Dunwich Legacy next to the Core Set.

Economy: William struggles with economy a little bit. We get Ressources with Notfallausrüstung wich will be upgraded later to Notfallausrüstung. We get cards back with Williams special ability after killing an enemy and with Einfallsreich.

Investigation:

For investigation and finding hints we have Beweise! and „Sieh mal, was ich gefunden habe!“. We can also use the Schaufel des Totengräbers to get hints from places with high shrouds.

Fighting:

With a value of 4 William is a good fighter. Remember that it is important to kill things with William in order to trigger his ability to get assets back from his discard pile. So fighting will be Williams main assignment here while the other player should take more focus on investigations. The Machete is the best weapon we can use against single enemies and we should aim for having it in our starting hand. The 32er Colt and the Schaufel des Totengräbers are also usefull for fighting. For more impact feel free to replace the 32er Colt for the 45er Automatik. For further damage/fighting support we have the Wachhund, Brutaler Schlag and Überwältigen.

Evasion / Exhausting Enemies:

William is not an expert in evasion or exhausting enemys. We better try to fight instead escaping.

Upgrades: As the campaign progresses here is my upgrade-prio list:

  1. exchange 2 „Sieh mal, was ich gefunden habe!“ for 2 Polizeimarke (4XP)
  2. Charisma as permanent (3XP)
  3. exchange the 2 Überwältigen for 2 Streifenpolizist (4xp)
  4. exchange 1 Madame Labranche for Aquinnah(3XP)

further upgrades (as you prefer in no explicit order): See side deck cards. Variable cards for the upgrades could be Kämpfen oder flüchten, Einfallsreich, Beweise!, Einfallsreich and maybe 1 Schaufel des Totengräbers for the mysterious man
