A fun combat-focused deck that gets a ton of mileage out of Pitchfork. Probably best in a four-player game so Rita can count on having enemies during every turn.

Survival Technique returns Pitchfork to your hand from your location. "I'll take that!", False Surrender, and Sleight of Hand play it fast and at various discounts.

Crafty gives you a steady supply of resources to replay Pitchfork and boosts your combat. Having 2x Crafty in play gives you a ton of flexibility.

You can load up Bewitching with Dirty Fighting (since there is no point in having two your deck) and a couple of the trick events that help you play Pitchfork fast and cheap.

Hiding Spot gives you another target for Survival Technique and, along with Elaborate Distraction, buys you some time when you're swarmed by enemies.

With Crafty, most of your events are free, so you could opt into Dark Horse.

2x Knife buys you some time if you don't draw [Pitchfork] (/card/10110) early. You could go with Short Supply and exchange some of the events for Scrounge for Supplies and Resourceful.

Cherished Keepsake keeps you sane.

Breaking and Entering and Belly of the Beast let you help out with clues.

The deck is light on card draw so you could sub out some events for Manual Dexterity and Overpower.

I don’t think the Pitchfork + Survival Technique combo is worth it. It puts it back to your hand, whereas the 2nd from pitchfork puts it under your control without paying its ressource cost. Why go through all the trouble of having multiple cards to play pitchfork from your hand fast and/or with discount when you can achieve the same result by simply using the card’s native ability? Seems like waisted deckspace to me.

The second action on Pitchfork would trigger an attack of opportunity and, you know, use an action. The fast action on Survival Technique saves you the action and AOO, then you can fast out the Pitchfork using one of the Rogue events, and attack again. It eliminates Pitchfork's major drawback. In a three- or four-player game, where you'll face multiple enemies most rounds and bosses have extremely high health, it's essential to make multiple attacks per round. Crafty reduces the cost of replaying the Pitchfork to only 1 resource.

This is cool, similar to a Bob Jenkins/Lupara deck I ran through Hemlock Vale. Except this accomplishes the fighting much better and with less XP!

If this deck ran Makeshift Trap which options would you add?

Lucky! belongs in this deck.

Also: given her lopsided stats I bet this deck could benefit from Peter Sylvestre as a better soak option than the Keepsakes. And he boosts the stat you’re relying on for evasion and to trigger Dirty Fighting.

Without supplemental ways to draw lots of cards it’s hard to chain Easy Mark. Sneak By might be a good alternative, since it pays you to do something that you’re already doing.
