Thanks to @Django
for some great advice here on my earlier v1.
General idea:
- get things in an out of discard easily.
- Play survivor events like they're going out of style (use the permanent version of On Your Own once ArkhamDB has it)
- free clues and damage with Gravedigger's Shovel / Lantern + Scavenging.
- Backup with spells as needed
- use Patrice's Violin + Forbidden Knowledge to gain extra resources as needed in order to play things with Dark Horse out.
- A bit concerned about how asset heavy this deck is getting, but unless I drop the Scavenging recursion or find a way not to need the spells that's not going to change much. At least most of the duplicates are not useless as a commit, and once we have Cornered they'll be almost as good as anything else.
Upgrade notes:
Hi Pri:
- On Your Own (permanent version - no deck slot)
- Guts -> Cornered
- Scavenging -> Scavenging
14xp at this point.
Med
- Lucky! -> Recall the Future
- Relic Hunter (get both of those Holy Rosary's out!)
7xp in this section
Low
- Unexpected Courage -> Rise to the Occasion (level 0 version not so great, but this one is).
- Quantum Flux -> Eucatastrophe
- Live and Learn -> Will to Survive
18xp in this section
If you manage to make it to here you've spent 41xp.
Consider:
- Brute Force
- Sharp Vision
- Old Keyring - recursion on this could be super easy with Scavenging.
- Forbidden Knowledge -> Drawing Thin for paying for those scavenged items with a bit less horror. Worth testing first though, definitely would be better on lower difficulties.
- Scrapper (mainly for dumping resources for dark horse, but also an extra / when you need it)
