As a theme deck, I honestly just wanted to make use of the synergies between "succeed by exactly..." conditions of Science assets and mystic token control. As it turns out, having almost infinite secrets on all assets thanks to Ariadne's Twine is extremely powerful. Starting as a jank idea, I was suprised how well it works in practice when actually playing it. Yes, it is by no means flexible, but at the singular purpose of investigating via Chemistry Set it excels through the roof.

How To:

Mulligan for Old Book of Lore, Chemistry Set, Crafty, and Scrying Mirror. Ariadne's Twine is going to be vital once the initial secrets on assets are gone, but until then just reload them with Eldritch Sophist, Astounding Revelation, Truth from Fiction, and Enraptured. Use Chemistry Set as often as possible and get to the desired margin by looking through the Mirror + being Crafty, Lab Coat, Steady-Handed, and engaging in some Premonition - and if you do an oopsie, get it back asap via Professor William Webb. Yes, Well-Funded is your only encounter deck protection because this is a theme deck, so look for your Ward of Protection and Inquiring Mind elsewhere.
