I have had a soft spot for Mr Slips for a while, as regular listeners to Drawn to the Flame will know. To celebrate him, I've slapped together a fairly rough and ready deck that handles enemy management which coincidentally features a load of what Frank affectionately calls 'Peter's Favs': On the Hunt, Stealth, Pickpocketing, Taunt--- I'm only sad that I ended up needing to cut Tennessee Sour Mash.

The idea here is that you can deal with enemies almost entirely with evasion, profiting as you do so using Pickpocketing and Lucky Cigarette Case. Taunt helps make sure you're the one with the enemies (great to play right before On the Lam.-.), and On the Hunt acts as both encounter cancellation (sort of?) and a way to pull out an enemy when you don't have one handy.

You have a handful of clue bits here and a couple of damage bits-.. as long as you keep drawing, you should be able to keep giving the odd hand.

Take the Initiative and Say Your Prayers give a LITTLE encounter card protection, but you're going to be relatively vulnerable otherwise.

For upgrades, Lola Santiago or Delilah O'Rourke would work depending on your team, and maybe The Moon • XVIII isn't a bad shout either. Upgrading to Pickpocketing will give you a real boost in econ too, that really gets your engine going, and you can use all that money if you want to funnel it into something like Streetwise.

If you want a spicy pick, Stealth gives you a free action which can combine with Lucky Cigarette Case and Pickpocketing for up to 3 cards and 2 resources--- every turn?!

I was about to ask how often you think you'd be triggering Mr. Slips' ability with only Investments (and eventually Pickpocketing), but then I saw your basic weakness draw.... Poor Skids. Even after going straight, he's still got enemies willing to sick P.I.s on him...

Haha, I hadn't even noticed that! Remember when you get a little xp you can get two Pickpocketing II up and running too which will turn into quite a cash engine. I'd maybe even recommend getting those with some of your first xp...?

Right, I guess that's what I meant, and it's not like 4XP is usually hard to come by. So happy that Skids is getting so much more love these days!

For the mentioned upgrade cards, which would you swap out and why?
