Song of the Spheres Patrice's final form. As mercurial as ever, now she can reliably over-commit to tests thanks to Cornered, making even her improvised tactics useful in skill tests. She also has better resource generation thanks to David Renfield, Occult Lexicon, and Nothing Left to Lose, as well as a lower curve to make everything easy to afford.
Her fighting and investigating are now predominately handled by the Cats of Ulthar (courtesy of Miss Doyle) and a few good boys who like her music (yes, I'm talking about the Summoned Hounds). When she has to handle it herself, the improvised tactics help, and in an emergency she can throw down Eucatastrophe (which is also helpful if a Cat or Dog test hits the Autofail). She can also cut right to the clues using the Ward of Protection/Drawn to the Flame combo. For monstrous emergencies she can drop Storm of Spirits.
Possible changes I'm considering: due to the lower curve, David Renfield might not be so important and can either be replaced with Madame Labranche or cut entirely. Due to the power of dogs and cats and Drawn, the improvised tactics may be unnecessary, opening the door for a De Vermis Mysteriis subtheme using [Ethereal Form], Deny Existence, Moonlight Ritual, and/or Lucid Dreaming(/card/06164), plus the already-present Drawn and Storm.
This is blatantly an end-game build, the kind of thing I slowly work towards over the course of an entire campaign and hope to have assembled in time to face off against Hastur/Azathoth/Yig/Yog-Sothoth/etc.
EDIT: For whatever reason ArkhamDB won't let me post the base version of this deck, so until that gets fixed, you'll just have to imagine how she starts out.

Feb 05, 202068 XP ? Must admit I fail to see the point in posting such an unrealistic deck. There's no way you could ever get anywhere close to a setup like this. |
Feb 06, 2020To the first point, I would discard/commit Summoned Hound and later pull it out with A Chance Encounter, which prevents me from ever having to add Unbound Beast to the deck. To the second, this isn't really up here as a "practical" option, more an idealized version of the base deck (which ArkhamDB isn't letting me post). We do often carry characters over between campaigns though, meaning if she survives long enough my Patrice could absolutely achieve this level. In terms of a more realistic one, what really matters is about a 23-XP set of Allies, Assets, and a couple events. Once you have the Summoned Beast combo, Nothing Left to Lose, and Cornered you're good to go. Everything is just gravy. |
Feb 10, 2020Update: I was finally able to post the real thing! Yay! |
How would Summoned Hound work with the extra card draw from patrice? Won't you get Unbound Beast very quickly? Seems like a poor combination.
