THERE ARE SPOILERS FROM THE BRETHREN OF ASH CAMPAIGN BELOW!

This deck is part of a series of decks from Chapter 2 that made it to the end in the Brethren of Ash campaign, played solo on expert difficulty. Check out my other decks in this series here:

Card Choices. Where are the Magnifying Glasses? Carolyn's hands are already full with maps, scrolls, and tomes! The assets in this list are tailored specifically to be able to handle the Servants of Flame and going for the five-clue-win in Scenario 3. With Seekers' limited combat options, the events (apart from Caustic Reaction) help with evading and cycling to the key cards for each scenario.

The Plan. Researching Scroll of the Pharaohs was a priority in Scenario 1 in order to later upgrade it to the best combat asset for Carolyn, namely Scroll of the Pharaohs (Words of Ra). The first scenario becomes a lot easier if you're lucky enough to dodge the Hunter enemies.

The priority in Scenario 2 is to find and defeat the Servant of Flame, preferably with some additional XP to boot. With Dr. Henry Armitage and Dorothy Simmons you can investigate through some Whippoorwills, so don't let the small nocturnal birds bother you too much.

Local Map plays a major role in Scenario 3; with it in play, you can investigate the ritual site from a connecting location without the fear of autofailing. The key to victory is to fetch four clues before entering the ritual site, then moving to a connecting location and using Local Map in conjunction with Deduction to get the requisite clues, and finally exhaust the map to move to the ritual site and trigger the for the win!

Upgrades. Here are the upgrades I made through this play-through, focusing on getting the scrolls researched as soon as possible:

Upgrades after Scenario 2 (8 XP):

Final Thoughts. This play-through definitely required some luck and setup, but it paid off. The last Scenario almost felt the easiest after the setup was done.

Do you think there are better options or other paths I could've taken? Please share your thoughts, and give the deck a ♥️ and a ⭐ if you liked it!
