As this is my first own build I would appreciate any helpful comments. We will start a campaign with 3 investigators and my focus was on fighting and getting clues.

Hi, I have a few suggestions if you don't mind these will be operating on the assumption that you have the full card pool

First having played a flex in 3 player you focus should be on Clue gathering much more than hunting, especially if your goon is a running Let me handle this or First watch

As such consider swapping out Flame or Shrivelling for another spell that grabs clues, I would personally stick to 2 copies of Shrivelling and put in 1-2 rites of seeking for burst clues I would also have whatever your spells are either focus on cards that care about drawing symbols or cards that card about drawing positives as well for standardization so maybe replace Clairvoyance for Sixth Sense. Holy Rosary is never bad as it and St. Huberts key are the only way to gain more Will at level zero so consider one of the two but as a 5 will investigator you can play without them. Finally for Assets there is Sign Magick for holding more spells and it upgrades to giving you more actions off of those spells

As far as events go, Voice of Ra is usually a worse E.Cache unless your are running bless/curse as it averages below 3 resources in most campaigns You also could run Uncage the Soul which has a very nice upgrade to combo with Research and Rabbit Hole Part of the reason I push for only two combat asset spells is that Spectral Razor is one of the best events for fighting at level zero, you get to swing with a value of 7 for 3 damage with only one card. enough to kill any mid sized enemy with one action. It also lets you engage solving the problem of Aloof foes or foes attached to your allies. I would swap Drawn to the Flame for Read the signs as well for similar reasons, testing at 8 for 2 clues with bonuses is much better than two clues for whatever the encounter deck has for you. Another good combat event is Drain Essence will can kill small enemies and heal you up, so if you are worried about your life consider that one Deny Existence is another fun pick for protection and the upgrade can lead to some great moments when it turns cards/actions/resources loss into gain As for cuts, Astral Travel is only good if you are in big maps and Delve too deep is often not worth it especially since you are already boosting with Research and Rabbit Hole, you also could drop one Hypnotic Gaze as you should never need to block swings, proactive monster control is always better

Finally for Skills, Promise of Power might be the best skill in the game, but if you don't want to run that consider starting with Fearless to avoid the xp toll of bringing it in as well, and defiance works well with Jacqueline's ability to dig into the chaos bag

Other cards to consider upgrading into (although it will cost a bit more due to Rabbit Hole) include Brand of Cthugha for cheap damage, Nikosi for more chaos bag control, and maybe Ikiaq for the stats and protection

As well if you do go for Sign Magick/Book of Shadows I would definitely run Uncage the soul and maybe up to 7 asset spell for consistency

Thank you for taking the time to rate my decklist. I currently have the Dunwich, Carcosa, EotW and FA expansions to work with. As you suggested, we got another char for fighting stuff, so I will follow your advice to focus more on gathering clues. What do you think, would it be an option with no combat at all and maybe some dodge cards?
