Dec 10, 2022Really interesting. Love the Ancient Power - Scriptweaver combo on Runic Axe! +5 and +2 damage on your first attack every turn looks awesome. However, I think |

Since Blue/Red investigators are very rare, Carson allows for a non asset based deck to run some of the new Survivor events from TSK while maintaining his core investigator ability. Carson maintains his free action every turn to help support others by giving a free action + At a Crossroads, and Nature of the Beast pulling enemies out of the encounter deck or discarding very bad encounter cards for the group. Where Tommy would lose his main benefit of cycling assets with this exact deck because are are very few of them. Carson also presents the rare flexibility over other primary fighters when there is no enemy to kill. Gain a resource/card/move and give everyone else an extra action this round! I'm not a fan of "Let me handle this!" in this particular deck as it only brings his base skill value to 4. On its own, not a great way to handle encounter cards. Self-Sacrifice and Leadership are great cards to put in for additional resource or card draw. With the amount of xp required to get this deck online it may be better as a 29xp Standalone. I did make another Carson deck with the Seeker subclass that plays a primary support role. Where Carson babysits, I mean, butlers the main clue getter around. arkhamdb.com Thanks for the discussion and feedback! |
Dec 10, 2022Oh, I didn't recommend "Let me handle this!" for the skill boost; I just thought it would give you an additional way to help support the team, stealing encounter cards that they draw so that they don't have to deal with them (and your once-a-turn-Lightning-Gun can, if they're an enemy). |
Dec 10, 2022ah good point! I was only thinking about using it to pass tests. |
This deck looks cool! I'm having trouble seeing where/how it leverages Carson's abilities, though. Outside of Trial By Fire, I feel like Tommy would be a stronger chassis for this deck. I suspect there's an angle I'm not seeing?
