For me building the EotE Investigators benefits from deciding in advance how you want them to evolve by creating an upgraded deck I advance and building the 0 level deck from it.

This is one of two directions I went with Lily. Evolving into an Enchant Weapon/Butterfly Sword Specialist with Combat Training and Empty Vessel as important upgrades.
