I have had no luck playing Rita solo. She seems obviously attuned to evading enemies, but the need for extra clue tech means that it does become easy to get swamped. Here I’m trying to squeeze in a few extra cards using the usually negative effect of Versatile.
This allows me to add in a few extra clue tech cards whilst keeping my options for enemy management open. I really did want to try the ornate bow here, but hand slots are a major issue. I could add bandolier using the versatile effect but finding a copy is likely to be a significant issue and so plumped for more standard fighting solutions.
Her three fight is enough for most common enemies as both weapons add a healthy +2. She should have no trouble evading those she can’t see off as her natural evasion is exceptional and she should see a couple of static boosts from her main assets.
Clue finding for solo investigators with low intellect is often a problem. Rita is aiming to employ a variety of techniques to cheat clues or boost her clueing ability. The mariners compass being the fireaxe of the clueing world means that my survivor staple fireaxe gets the cut this time. An emergency cache and a copy of nothing left to lose help to cover the relatively high running costs
I question the wisdom of a chainsaw at a track and field event, but you do you. Adding Act of Desperation might help with the cost curve.
