Hello fellow investigators, what you see here is the Mandy Tompson deck that i have taken through most of Dunwich on very hard. The point of the deck is to rush through it with searches to find not only Segment of Onyx but also the Three Aces and use them multiple times per Scenario. Cards like Hawk-Eye Folding Camera and Key of Ys make you very resilient to the encounter deck and i end up taking most of our groups tests since i play with a Guardian and a Rouge. My best performance with the deck was going throug the whole thing three times and using Three Aces 4 times (twice with Double or Nothing) while maxing out my Key of Ys from the reshuffling Horror alone
As with most investigators the first few turns are setup. For you this means getting to your Mr.Rook (use No Stone Unturned if you must, hes worth it) and Hawk-Eye-Folding Camera.
The smal decksize, and carddraw make it so your second and third round through the Deck are way faster, this leads us to one of the Traps with playing Mandy Tompson, dont underestimate the importance of finding your high synergy pieces. Its worth using a few turns to assemble your Combos over desperatly investigating with half a setup. If thats what your looking for go for another seeker or another Mandy deck.
The Big Combo is an Investigation with Fingerprint Kit + Double or nothing + Three Aces wich nets you 4 testless clues and alot of card draw/money. I had Deduction in here to make it even more but i was starved for deckspots and the combo is clunky enough as it is :)
Crack the Case is some nice early money, it can be alot more late when you empty out a high shroud location with Segment of Onyx or your Combo but by then you are usualy very comfortable with money anyway.
Hawk-Eye Folding Camera + Tooth of Etzli and Key of Ys make you extremely resilient to the mythos deck and Dr. Elli Horowitz helps you find them
Mr. Rook is the absolute Star of the Deck. He usually finds your weakness early and everything you need after that
Death XIII is optional, the slot used to be a second Dr. Eztli for the Calling Favors combo but that proved to be more value then i needed out of that part of the Deck
Segment of Onyx helps you alot with enemy management and gets clues from high shroud or uncomfortable locations
Strange Solution was a late inclusion, i wanted to be able to help with Bosses and Strange Solution + Double or Nothing + Three Aces is 6 testless Damage in 1 Action
Studious helps alot with the consistency of the deck. The more cards you see early the more you can mulligan and find what you need to get going, (Mr. Rook or No Stone Unturned to find him)
Astounding Revelation helps with early Money and gets you more searches with Mr. Rook
Calling in Favors returns a spent Mr. Rook to hand so you can find a Dr. Elli Horowitz and another Mr.Rook with Mandys abillity
Lucid Dreaming/No Stone Unturned + 1 copy of Three Aces in Hand gets you all 3 Copys with Mandys abillity
Eureka gets you alot of value for very little investment, especialy if it finds Astounding Revelation
